1. Brown whole andouille sausage on all sides on medium heat until thoroughly cooked
  2. Reduce heat to low
  3. Pour desired amount of barbecue sauce over cooked sausage, simmer for approximately 5 minutes
  4. Remove sausage from pan, place on plate or tray
  5. Let stand for approximately 5 minutes
  6. Slice into 1-1.5 inch pieces
